Enhancing Recovery through Mindfulness

A 12-Week Evidence-Informed Program Supporting Healing, Stability and Growth

Enhancing Recovery Through Mindfulness is a 12-week, evidence-informed program offered to support individuals navigating treatment and recovery. Rooted in compassion, dignity, and accessibility, this program creates a supportive space where participants can reconnect with themselves, strengthen inner stability, and cultivate hope.

The curriculum gently integrates the Eight Core Principles of Mindfulness (Trust, Non-Judging, Patience, Beginner’s Mind, Non-Striving, Acceptance, Letting Go, and Gratitude) in ways that are practical, trauma-informed, and relevant to everyday life.

Each session weaves together guided learning, mindfulness practice, and reflective conversation to support participants in:

  • Strengthening emotional regulation and distress tolerance

  • Increasing self-awareness and self-compassion

  • Developing healthier responses to cravings, triggers, and stress

  • Cultivating inner stability, connection, and a renewed sense of possibility

Grounded in the foundations of Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and other well-researched mindfulness approaches, this program draws on methods shown to reduce stress reactivity, support emotional balance, and enhance long-term recovery outcomes.

Enhancing Recovery Through Mindfulness is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and recovery-oriented programming. It complements clinical and therapeutic services by offering participants practical, embodied tools to remain present, grounded, and engaged in their healing journey both within and beyond formal treatment settings.
